General Sales Manager – Roofing & Home Services

📍 Based in Fresno, CA (Travel Required)
🕒 Full-Time | 45–50 Hours Per Week

About the Company

We are a fast-growing, stable home service company specializing in residential and commercial roofing, including roof replacement, restoration, and roof rejuvenation systems such as RoofMaxx.

Our territory stretches from Bakersfield to San Francisco, and we are actively expanding. We are building a high-performance sales organization and are seeking a strong leader to help us scale.

Position Overview

The General Sales Manager (GSM) will lead, train, develop, and hold accountable a growing sales team across Central and Northern California.

This individual must have:

  • Proven sales management experience

  • Strong KPI accountability leadership

  • The ability to recruit, train, and develop closers

  • Experience in roofing, HVAC, solar, or in-home sales

  • The ability to personally run appointments when needed

You must be a leader who can sell, coach, and drive performance.

Core Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Oversee and manage a regional sales team from Bakersfield to San Francisco

  • Develop and maintain KPI tracking systems

  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and training sessions

  • Ride along with reps for coaching and development

  • Recruit, interview, and onboard new sales representatives

  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and growth

Sales Performance & Growth

  • Improve close rates, revenue per rep, and pipeline management

  • Help implement sales systems and processes

  • Maintain consistent follow-up discipline

  • Drive revenue growth across roofing and RoofMaxx product lines

  • Step in and run appointments when needed

Operational Involvement

  • Work closely with ownership on forecasting and revenue planning

  • Assist with compensation structure and incentive planning

  • Help align sales with operations to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Maintain CRM accuracy and reporting

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of sales management experience

  • Experience in roofing, HVAC, solar, or home improvement sales

  • Proven ability to lead and scale a sales team

  • Strong understanding of KPIs, metrics, and accountability systems

  • Ability to travel within assigned territory

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Fresno, CA

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Roofing or restoration sales leadership

  • Solar sales management experience

  • Experience managing remote or regional teams

  • CRM management experience
